Configuring Sendmail logging
By default, events of the Sendmail system are logged to syslog.
To make sure that logging is configured correctly:
- Connect via SSH to the server on which the Sendmail system is installed.
- Run the following command:
cat /etc/rsyslog.d/50-default.confThe command should return the following string:
mail.* -/var/log/mail.log
If logging is configured correctly, you can proceed to configuring the export of Sendmail events.
