Enable and disable autosave and autofill
Kaspersky Password Manager can automatically save information when you fill out an online form. The application can then fill out online forms for you. You can turn on autosave and autofill for accounts, addresses, and bank cards.
When autosave is enabled, each time you enter a new password, address, or bank card details on a website, Kaspersky Password Manager prompts you to save them in your vault.

You can select a default browser for Kaspersky Password Manager. All websites opened from the main application window will be opened in this browser. If you do not set up a default browser, the application opens websites in the default browser selected in your operating system.

By default, Kaspersky Password Manager installs extensions for all installed browsers during the initial setup of the application. When you install a new browser supported by Kaspersky Password Manager, the application prompts you to install the extension for the browser. You can also install browser extensions manually.

Specifics about browser extensions
Kaspersky Password Manager can install extensions for Chrome and Yandex.Browser if these browsers are installed on the computer. Before installing the extension for Firefox, you must open and close the browser.
Kaspersky Password Manager can install extension for Chromium based Microsoft Edge. The outdated version of this browser, Microsoft Edge Legacy, is no longer supported.
To remove the unsupported extension from your computer:
- Open Microsoft Edge Legacy browser.
- In the upper-right corner, right-click the Kaspersky Password Manager shortcut.
- In the context menu, select Manage.
The About window opens.
- Click Uninstall at the bottom of the window.
The removal of the extension starts.
You can also remove the extension through the Add or remove programs section of the Control Panel.

You can specify websites for which you do not want Kaspersky Password Manager to automatically save information or fill out online forms.

Page topFast hotkey credentials search
The fast hotkey credentials search feature allows you to immediately open a credentials list from any place in Windows and paste a selected item to the form. It works with browser and web accounts as well as with Windows applications. To start using the feature, do the following:
- Open the main application window.
- In the menu panel, click Additional.
- In the opened menu, click Settings.
The application settings open.
- Select the Advanced section.
- In the Fast hotkey credentials search section, set a hotkey combination and check the box Enable fast hotkey search by pressing.
Your changes will be saved automatically.
Now you can open a credentials list by pressing the hotkey combination you have set. Use arrows to move through the list. Press Enter, to paste login to previous window. Press Ctrl + Enter, to paste password or copy data from the selected cell by double mouse click.
If the password you need is not listed, use the search field.

You may need to collect and submit technical information about application errors to Customer Service. Kaspersky Password Manager lets you write information about application events to log files. By default, the application saves these files on your device in the folder named %ProgramData%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Password Manager\Logs. The names of files contain their creation date and time.

You can export Kaspersky Password Manager settings to a file using the Command Prompt. Exported settings are stored in an XML file with a high-integrity mandatory label.

If you use a proxy server to connect to the Internet, specify the proxy server settings for Kaspersky Password Manager. By default, Kaspersky Password Manager automatically configures proxy server settings.
