Change the main password
For security reasons, it is recommended that you change your main password on a regular basis. If you suspect that your main password may have been compromised, change it immediately.
Note: You can only change the main password if your Mac is connected to the Internet and there are no synchronization issues.
- Open the application pull-down menu and choose Preferences.
The application preferences window opens.
- On the General tab, in the Main password section, click Change.
The window for changing the main password opens.
- Enter your current main password.
If your device supports Touch ID and Touch ID is enabled in Kaspersky Password Manager, you can use it instead of entering the current main password.
- Enter a new main password.
- Confirm your new main password.
- Click Change to apply the new main password.

The process of updating data stored on different devices with Kaspersky Password Manager installed. Data is synced across all devices where Kaspersky Password Manager is installed as long as they are connected to the same My Kaspersky account. Data sync requires internet access. The status of data sync is displayed in the main application window. Keeping your data up-to-date and consistent on all your devices also helps restore your data if you replace or lose a device.
