Unlock the vault
Kaspersky Password Manager automatically blocks access to the vault after a specified period of inactivity or when the screen saver turns on. By default, the vault is locked automatically after your computer has been idle for 10 minutes. You can access your data only when the vault is unlocked.
Unlock the vault from the application icon menu
- In the menu bar, click the Kaspersky Password Manager icon.
- In the application icon menu, enter the main password and then click Unlock.
The vault is now unlocked and the application continues running in the background.
Unlock the vault from the main application window
Enter the main password and click UNLOCK.
Unlock the vault from the browser extension
- In the browser toolbar, click
to open the extension menu.
- In the extension menu, enter the main password and click Unlock.
The vault is now unlocked.
If your device supports Touch ID and Touch ID is enabled in Kaspersky Password Manager, you can also use it to unlock the vault.
- Open the application pull-down menu and choose Preferences.
The application preferences window opens.
- On the General tab, in the Autolock the vault pop-up menu, choose how long Kaspersky Password Manager waits before locking the vault.
By default, the vault is locked after your computer has been idle for 10 minutes.
